From 2nd May 2010 Showsec will provide all Event Security to the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Work is also available in other areas of Scotland as well as amazing opportunities to work at music festivals including T in the Park, Rockness and various others all around the UK!
As the work is casual you can fit this around even the busiest lifestyle. To be successful you will need strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team, a lively outgoing personality and the confidence to deal with any situation.
Door Stewards – to be considered for this role you must hold a valid SIA licence and experience within an event setting is preferred.
Event Stewards – whilst experience would be preferred full training will be provided to those without.

Position: Changeover Crew
Locations: Sheffield

Reporting to Showsec’s Sheffield Management team the successful applicant will be responsible for the indoor changeover of Sheffield Arena.
Sheffield Arena has a wide variety of shows and events and a skilled work force is required to ensure the venue can be changed between shows. The team maybe required to change from an Ice Hockey layout to a seated Floor, from a Standing Floor to Exhibition – the list is endless as no two changeovers will be the same.
The ability to work in a team as well as individually is imperative. You must also be flexible and willing to learn new tasks and methods. The changeovers take place prior to the event (12-5pm) and after the event (10pm-4am) so a flexible attitude is required, as this role is casual you can choose the number of shifts you work, so you’ll have the freedom to fit your job around your lifestyle.

FULL & PART TIME JOBS

Holding a key role within the Oxford area, you will be working as the second in command at the O2 Academy Music Venue and be responsible for managing your own projects. This exciting vacancy will give you the opportunity to develop a career path within Showsec.
Enthusiastic, pro-active and solution driven, preference will be given to candidates who are able to demonstrate proven staff management skills and a commitment to strong customer service. Knowledge of crowd management and an SIA badge is a pre-requisite.
